St Elizabeth Seton is pleased to be able to offer public worship again. The parish is taking precautions per the CDC and Governor Lamont’s recommendations regarding public gatherings, as well as our own precautions we feel are prudent under the circumstances. We look forward to welcoming you and your family back to Mass, but please understand there are risks involved in attending a public worship in a pandemic despite all of the precautions taken by the parish and the diocese. We ask your cooperation with all of the directives that have been put in place for your safety and the safety of our clergy and your fellow worshipers.
We have returned to our regular Mass schedule with the exception of the 5:00pm mass on Sunday evening which will resume at a later date. Masses are celebrated daily at 8:30 am, on Saturday at 5pm, and on Sunday at 8:00am, 9:30am and 11:30 am.
Only the daily 8:30am, Saturday 5:00pm, and Sunday 9:30am Masses are live-streamed and can be found on our website or Facebook page.
Each mass will be limited to 100 people, including the priest and other staff involved in the service and spread across different areas of the church. A total of 50 can be present in the church, 10 in the Jubilee Memorial Lobby (through the side door of the church) and an additional 40 can be accommodated downstairs in McKeon Hall. Please note that anyone attending in McKeon Hall or the Lobby must bring their own chair. Pre-registration is required for all three locations.
Mass will be simulcast on video screens in McKeon Hall and the Jubilee Memorial lobby.
Masks will be required.
While entering and exiting the church 6-foot physical distancing must be maintained with anyone outside of a person’s immediate household.
Those who attend the mass in the hall or lobby, please bring your own chairs.
the church is prohibited.
After the mass, volunteers are needed to disinfect the pews.
The restrooms will not be available.
Procedure for receiving communion will be explained at all the masses.
If you have reserved a spot for a mass and are unable to attend in person, please cancel your sign up so someone else may attend in your place.
I ask for your cooperation and patience while we go through these precautionary and safety protocols. As Bishop Caggiano said in his letter, “Let us remember that our common sacrifice has had one prime motive: to follow the mandate of the Lord of life to protect, defend, and keep safe every human life.”
Please be safe and stay healthy. God bless you all.
